Wacky Buttons Make Me Giddy
Wacky buttons are fun. So the other day my girlfriend (don't hate bro it's 2014) was talking about how she wanted to make buttons. We started brainstorming ideas on what kind of cool buttons we could make that would be wacky. Maybe a button of a cartoon duck with a mustache and the caption "we can do this the hard way or the easy way"? Sure that would be cool. Funny pins are sometimes wacky. We continued to brain-storm, being weird and gay and shit while we did, and thought of another one. A cartoon of flip flops that with the caption 'i want you to tickle my b-hole.'
A cartoon of a thick book that reads 'bigger is better.'
A cartoon of clouds that reads 'fuck it all.'
A pink rhinoceros doing the stanky leg.
An armadillo pretentiously re-adjusting his glasses.
You get the picture, we were thinking of wacky buttons.
Since I have a button maker to make my own pinback buttons we might just have to make some of these. The best part about it is the feeling you get wearing buttons that you made yourself. I believe everyone is creative and has the ability to make their own content whether it's media, design, or even writing for that matter. It's inside all of us.
Funny buttons are a great medium for expressing that, in my experience, it's just a really easy format. While I'm sure I could write a novel or write a symphony: I would probably fuck it up. Because it's such a big project. I have ADHD and it's hard to keep the same feeling and not compromise the artistic integrity of a piece the larger it is.
With buttons or t-shirts each project or piece is small, and you can get away with a duck with a mustache, that's what I love about them.
